Nursing Licensure in Texas
The Texas Board of Nursing requires that all APRN applicants first receive a registered nurse license. After attending an undergraduate program approved by the Texas Board of Nursing, registered nurse applicants must earn a passing score on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Texas Registered Nurses may apply for a multi-state license. APRNs may not.
